Peter Irish spent the first 30 years of his career in the advertising, amusement park, consumer goods (food and hygiene products), POS and packaging, and consulting industries, building $50 to $100 million businesses for several Fortune 100 companies along the way. He has employed career change agencies successfully and repeatedly—including the Barrett Group. More recently he has focused on the business coaching and career change industries, acting today as the CEO of the Barrett Group.
In his spare time, Peter stays fit through running and looks forward to continuing his science fiction series under the pen name of Peter Darrach.
Donna Mase
Senior Career Consultant
Donna Mase began her career providing case management for neglected and abused children and their parents. She then moved to Spain teaching graduate level English, as well as selling children’s apparel, returning to the United States and a new career hiring and training a sales force in the food service industry.
Ten years later found her back in child guidance, renewing her interest in the welfare and education of children as a Sales Manager for the Child Guidance division of United Educators. She helped build the region into one of the top three in the East, making her the top sales director in the country.
Repeated managerial success, creating and developing teams, led to executive level career management. She has been at The Barrett Group for 11 years as a senior sales consultant, helping hundreds of executives achieve their personal and financial goals.
Donna has a BA from Newton College/Boston College.
Daniel W. Resendes
Chief Consulting Officer
Dan serves as Chief Consulting Officer and Board Member of The Barrett Group. He leads the service delivery side of our business. By bringing over forty years of business leadership experience to clients and the executive consulting team, he has built a team of amazing industry professionals who deliver world class service to our customers.
Prior to joining The Barrett Group, Dan had partnered with Fortune 100 and mid-sized companies in the talent acquisition, consumer products, retail and service sectors. Dan has served as COO, Regional Vice President, Regional Director, District Manager and Executive Recruiter. His background includes working directly for Nike, TJX, Bally, Management Recruiters International and Footlocker Inc., including Kinney and Woolworth.
Dan’s academic and industry credentials include earning an undergraduate degree in Business; completing his Business Analysis Certification from Babson Executive Education College as well as being recognized as a Certified Resume Writer by The National Résumé Writers’ Association.
Dan’s expertise as an international corporate executive, business owner, executive recruiter, career and interview preparation consultant, provides clients with an insider’s perspective for navigating a successful career change initiative.
Dan is an avid tropical fish, classic car and bonsai enthusiast. In his spare time he enjoys exploring and traveling throughout New England with his family.
Alay Yajnik
Executive Career Coach
Alay Yajnik is an award-winning career coach certified by FocalPoint International. He has over 21 years of business experience primarily in Silicon Valley. His corporate experience is in medical devices and technology with Fortune 500 companies, startups, and mid-size organization. He ran a $100 million business unit for Siemens and built a $5 million business unit from the ground up.
Alay is also a “Coach’s Coach”: one of six people worldwide who train and mentor FocalPoint International Business Coaches. In 2015, he received the Kaizen Award from that organization. Alay holds an M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego.
